Jeremy Corbyn's warnings on Iraq, Libya and Syria have proved terrifyingly right. We were not just part of the biggest political demonstration in British history, but the largest simultaneous protest event in the world, with millions marching in every continent. We gathered in Hyde Park and heard many famous voices speaking out against the war, from Labour politician Tony Benn to playwright Harold Pinter. When Jeremy Corbyn took the stage, he too was a familiar face to all peace march veterans and Islington residents like myself, but less so to other members of the crowd. But his words stirred the souls of everyone present.

It has outlined why in their view her 22 months of imprisonment over allegations of spying amounted to torture, given "the conditions of solitary confinement, the psychological pressures in the arbitrary detention and court proceedings, and her use as a tool of pressure in wider diplomatic affairs".

A tool for them long posts ..
18.11 - 2007

tn_codificator_510px.jpg

I wrote this tool some months ago while developing on the xPresso publishing system (NO), and has done some rewriting this week to implement further functionality.

The Codificator now provides:
- automatic code wrapping in DC board format
- conversion of regular HTML-formatted text to DC board formatted text
- link extraction from HTML to DC board format
- auto fetch of webpages, with on-select conversion of content to DC board format.

It won't boil your coffee or knit you a warm sweater for the winter, but it may help you to be more efficient when you're online discussing politics.
